Short lived, but never forgotten. Spike, your death was without justice, and without right. Reacting over fear an confusion, with the ignorance of those who knew nothing about you. Who took your playful nature of playing when you attacked our feet and barreled into our legs to steal our shoes and run away in hopes of a chase, as "aggression". The ignorance.

How they lied to us and gave us false hope for two weeks that you were still alive. But you had been killed off just two days after you were left there.

I am so sorry... But I can never make up for it.

Yet... I still have this uncanny feeling that you're still alive. Why did they lie to us? I'm sure that's not part of their policy.

I prayed to God long and hard, with tears that never ended, and flowed like a river down my cheeks.

I asked him to show me, show me you and what was made of you. To show me if you were alive or really were gone.
I prayed and said to send this to my dreams, that if you were indeed gone, that you lied contemptibly at rest. Sleeping on your back with legs sprawled. Or if you were alive, to show me you playing and alive and well.

I slept and dreamt, and you know what he showed me?

He showed me you playing and alive! Oh how my hopes shot up, for God has never let me down. For he sees all and is always willing to tell the truth. I believe he has answered my prayers and has given me hope that you are still alive.

Your death will not go without justice... Are you even gone?

I'm going to find out, and I will fight until the end.
